How is LinkedIn used?

Lab42 surveyed 500 Americans who were registered LinkedIn users between July 1st and July 5th 2011, and the results are indicated in the graphic above.

The findings are interesting. High level executives tend to utilize LinkedIn to win new business, conduct market research, and demonstrate thought leadership and expertise. More junior level executives use LinkedIn more as a career networking site.
