THE CHALLENGE:
We recently completed our second placement with a business to business marketer in NYC. They are well regarded in their field, and they have engaged us to fill positionThis client markets products to attorneys. Although they are a market leader in their niche, our challenge was enticing dynamic professionals to work in an environment perceived as “dry”. More than one qualified candidate did not wish to pursue this opportunity due to concerns that the company would be boring to work at.s due to growth.
THE SOLUTION:
Crandall President Wendy Weber went for an on-site meeting at the client’s office. There, she was able to view the corporate culture firsthand. And it was anything but boring! This company had so much to offer, including a book club, a cooking club, a softball team, a creative critique group (they happen to have a lot of aspiring writers on staff), a semiannual art show, and more. There is a real sense of community that wasn’t conveyed to us through our initial conversations with this client. Now we are able to allow this client to shine brightly when we recruit for them, by making potential candidates aware of a corporate culture that one would not expect in such a business.
