Creative approach to a job search
I just received an email from a candidate with a unique approach to her job search. I have eliminated the identifying information, and am publishing it here:
“Hi Wendy,
As you may know, I have been working with (employer). for the past five years and I am looking to expand my horizons but not just any job, but THE job!
Because I’m looking for a position in Marketing Management, I thought it would be best to market myself to find it.
And that’s where I was hoping you could help me …
Below is a list of my possible job titles, as well as very short list of five companies that I am interested in working with.
If you have a moment right now, could you please forward this email on to 10 people you think might be able to help?
If you don’t, nothing bad will happen to you. Nothing will happen at all. But if you do, who knows? This “chain email” might find its way into the Guinness Book of Records … or help me get the perfect position.
If you have questions, or know anyone who works at the companies below, please email me at: hername@gmail.com
Thanks so much!
